Two Berlin based visual artists and motion designers that have collaborated on projects,
live video performances and video installations.

Sven Gareis | telematique and Ute Harting | u-matic have made a name for themselves since 1998 with their subtle, technically skilled and increasingly minimalistic approach to visual music.
Together with the light designer Clemens Lüft they form the trio “u-matic & telematique &
LFT” and work on kinetic and interactive light installations.

Lillevan is an animation, video and media artist. He is perhaps best known as founding member of the visual / music group Rechenzentrum (1997-2008).
Parallel to his work in Rechenzentrum, he has performed and collaborated with many artists from a wide array of genres as Fennesz, Vladislav Delay, Olga Neuwirth, Zeitkratzer, Tetsuo Furudate etc from opera to installation, from minimal electronic experimentalism to dance and classical music.
Lillevan has performed and exhibited all over the globe from Brazil to Siberia, Hong Kong to Canada, Korea to Cuba, Belgrade to Detroit, at all the major media festivals.

Skinny Patrini are a  brilliant and enormously productive duo
created by Anna Patrini and Michael ‘Skinny’ Skorka from Poland.

They are a musical and visual phenomenon, often compared to such stars as Peaches and IAMX. And they fall very high within these comparisons.
It’s difficult to tag their music. What you can find here is rough post-punk, dirty electroclash or even mysterious melodies from neo-cold wave circles.

Skinny Patrini try not to stay in one style, they’re open to the new in music and – what’s very important – they’re not afraid to experiment.

In cadrul celei de-a paisprezecea editii a serilor AVion dedicate explorarii audiovizuale,  AVmotional il invita pe Markus Altmann sa prezinte activitatile, artistii si cele mai recente proiecte ale label-ului Raster-Noton.

“raster-noton. archiv für ton und nichtton” e o platforma ce uneste granitele dintre cultura pop, arta si stiinta. Labelul localizat in Chemnitz, Germania, are o viziune estetica aparte, centrata in jurul unei muzici electronice ritmice, minimale, ce alterneaza intre ludic si introspectie. Totul este impachetat in spiritul unui design neconventional.

Evoluand perpetuu si dezvoltandu-si vederile conceptuale, operele lor de arta indelung aclamate continua sa impuna standarde in prima linie a inovatiei, cel putin in ceea ce priveste muzica electronica contemporana.

Fondat de catre Olaf Bender (Byetone) si Carsten Nicolai (Alva Noto), prin unirea sub-labelurilor „rastermusic“ si „noton“, Raster-Noton a devenit legendar datorita release-urilor sale unice, semnate de artisti precum Franz Pomassl, Frank Bretschneider (Komet), Ilpo Väisänen (Pansonic), Mika Vainio (Pansonic), Ø (Pansonic), Ryoji Ikeda, Ivan Pavlov (CoH), Thomas Brinkmann, Robin Rimbaud (Scanner), Coil (EIPH), Wolfgang Voigt, Olaf Bender (Byetone), Richart Chartier, Kim Cascone (Goem), Frans de Waard (Goem), Roel Meelkop (Goem), Peter Duimelinks (Goem), Jens Massel (Senking), sau Taylor Deupree.

At the fourteenth edition of the AVion series for audiovisual exploration, AVmotional invite Markus Altman to present Raster-Noton label’s activities, artists and recent projects.
“raster-noton. archiv für ton und nichtton” is a platform covering the overlapping border areas of pop, art and science. The Chemnitz, Germany, based label has a particular aesthetic viewpoint, centered on rhythmic, minimal electronic music that alternates between playfulness and introspection, all wrapped up in unconventional design. Perpetually evolving and upgrading conceptual views, their highly acclaimed works of art continue to set standards and assert the front-line in innovation, for what contemporary electronica is worth.
