In cadrul celei de-a paisprezecea editii a serilor AVion dedicate explorarii audiovizuale,  AVmotional il invita pe Markus Altmann sa prezinte activitatile, artistii si cele mai recente proiecte ale label-ului Raster-Noton.

“raster-noton. archiv für ton und nichtton” e o platforma ce uneste granitele dintre cultura pop, arta si stiinta. Labelul localizat in Chemnitz, Germania, are o viziune estetica aparte, centrata in jurul unei muzici electronice ritmice, minimale, ce alterneaza intre ludic si introspectie. Totul este impachetat in spiritul unui design neconventional.

Evoluand perpetuu si dezvoltandu-si vederile conceptuale, operele lor de arta indelung aclamate continua sa impuna standarde in prima linie a inovatiei, cel putin in ceea ce priveste muzica electronica contemporana.

Fondat de catre Olaf Bender (Byetone) si Carsten Nicolai (Alva Noto), prin unirea sub-labelurilor „rastermusic“ si „noton“, Raster-Noton a devenit legendar datorita release-urilor sale unice, semnate de artisti precum Franz Pomassl, Frank Bretschneider (Komet), Ilpo Väisänen (Pansonic), Mika Vainio (Pansonic), Ø (Pansonic), Ryoji Ikeda, Ivan Pavlov (CoH), Thomas Brinkmann, Robin Rimbaud (Scanner), Coil (EIPH), Wolfgang Voigt, Olaf Bender (Byetone), Richart Chartier, Kim Cascone (Goem), Frans de Waard (Goem), Roel Meelkop (Goem), Peter Duimelinks (Goem), Jens Massel (Senking), sau Taylor Deupree.

At the fourteenth edition of the AVion series for audiovisual exploration, AVmotional invite Markus Altman to present Raster-Noton label’s activities, artists and recent projects.
“raster-noton. archiv für ton und nichtton” is a platform covering the overlapping border areas of pop, art and science. The Chemnitz, Germany, based label has a particular aesthetic viewpoint, centered on rhythmic, minimal electronic music that alternates between playfulness and introspection, all wrapped up in unconventional design. Perpetually evolving and upgrading conceptual views, their highly acclaimed works of art continue to set standards and assert the front-line in innovation, for what contemporary electronica is worth.
